Extradition

We have extensive experience of representing clients at the Magistrates’ Court and on appeal to the High Court in Extradition Matters. We understand that it is overwhelming for individuals who are faced with the prospect of being extradited. This is why we will strive to assist our clients during this very difficult time. We will protect our clients’ rights throughout the whole process.
We are skilled in taking the most effective and strategic approach to achieve the best outcome for our clients, including negotiating with the Requesting State, challenging validities of extradition warrants and seeking to have warrants withdrawn by the Requesting State.
Our team will prepare arguments based on procedural failures, the Human Rights Act 1998 and the European Convention on Human Rights when challenging extradition warrants in courts.
For those clients who wish to return to the Requesting State, we will assist with the process by ensuring our clients are given the correct advice and information about the procedure for their return. In inbound extraditions to the UK, we will ensure that any such extraditee is protected under the rules of specialty.
We have acted in a number of notable extradition cases and work closely with many of the most recognised barristers in this area.
